	Again, the highlight of the day was the appearance of a Swainson’s Thrush on Shetland, Yell at West Yell in a garden near cemetery. New rarities elsewhere included Rustic Bunting in Northumberland, Black Scoter County Kerry, Bonaparte’s Gull in County Cork, Red-flanked Bluetail on Fair Isle, Red-throated Pipit in East Yorkshire, Olive-backed Pipits on Shetland and Orkney, Blyth’s Reed Warblers on Shetland and the Western Isles, Eastern Stonechat sp on Shetland and 9 Hornemann’s Arctic Redpolls with 6 on Shetland, 2 on Orkney and 1 in Aberdeenshire also 5 Radde’s Warblers.   Lingering rarities included White-billed Diver in Shetland, Kentish Plover in Somerset, Pallas’s Grasshopper Warbler on Fair Isle, Baird’s Sandpiper in Aberdeenshire, King Eider in Lothian and Long-billed Dowitcher on Orkney.
