	Main news of the day came from the Western Isles where a Swainson’s Thrush was trapped and ringed on Barra. New rarities elsewhere included 6 Hornemann’s Arctic Redpolls with 5 of the them being on Shetland also a Blyth’s Reed Warbler on Shetland. Lingering rarities included Kentish Plover in Somerset, Pallas’s Grasshopper Warbler on Fair Isle, King Eider in Shetland, Baird’s Sandpiper in Aberdeenshire, Red-footed Falcon in Norfolk, Long-billed Dowitcher on Orkney, Pied-billed Grebe in Argyll plus 4 Hornemann’s Arctic Redpolls across Shetland and Orkney.
