Tuesday 16th August 2022  
  Eight Wilson's Petrels were seen from a pelagic trip off the Isles of Scilly, along with around twenty each of Cory's and Great Shearwaters. Elsewhere, lingering rarities comprised the Turkestan Shrike and White-rumped Sandpiper in Yorkshire, Squacco Heron in Sussex, Ferruginous Duck in Northamptonshire and the families of Bee-eaters in Norfolk and Black-winged Stilts in Cheshire.

There were nine sighting of Cory's Shearwaters off the north east coast with a further bird off Cornwall. There were also five sightings of Great Shearwaters, from Borders, County Antrim, Cornwall and from the Scillonian as well as the Ullapool to Stornoway ferry. Both Icterine Warblers and Wrynecks were seen in Norfolk and Scilly. Spotted Crakes were in Yorkshire (2), Scilly (2), Somerset and Northumberland and there were three Pectoral Sandpipers, an American Golden Plover, a Purple Heron and a Night Heron

Monday 15th August 2022  
  An Aquatic Warbler was at Nanjizal Valley, Cornwall, a Caspian Tern was at Breydon Water, Norfolk and nine Wilson's Petrels were seen from a pelagic off County Waterford, the first record for the county.

Lingering rarities included the Turkestan Shrike in Yorkshire, four Black-winged Stilts in Cheshire, White-rumped Sandpipers in Yorkshire, Lincolnshire and Norfolk, Squacco Heron in Sussex, Forster's Tern in County Louth, Bonaparte's Gulls in Argyll and Kent, Iberian Chiffchaff in London, eight Bee-eaters in Norfolk, Pied-billed Grebe in Argyll, Black Duck in County Mayo, Ferruginous Ducks in Nottinghamshire and Northamptonshire and three Wilson's Petrels were seen from the Scilly pelagic.

Scarcity highlights included a Barred Warbler, two Icterine Warblers, four Wrynecks, six Spotted Crakes, a Night Heron, a Purple Heron, 16 Glossy Ibises, an American Golden Plover, a Pectoral Sandpiper, a Dotterel, a Tundra Bean Goose, two Sabine's Gulls, a Long-tailed Skua, four Pomarine Skuas, 135 Cory's Shearwaters and 136 Great Shearwaters.

Sunday 14th August 2022  
  New Aquatic Warblers were at Slapton, Devon and Abbotsbury, Dorset, a Caspian Tern flew over Sidestrand, Norfolk, Bee-eaters were over Minsmere, Suffolk (four), Mablethorpe, Lincolnshire (three) and Bedhampton, Hampshire, a Black Kite was at Drift Reservoir and a Wilson's Petrel flew past Pendeen, both Cornwall.

Lingering rarities still present included the Turkestan Shrike in Yorkshire, Iberian Chiffchaff in London, six Bee-eaters in Norfolk, Squacco Heron in Sussex, Ferruginous Duck in Nottinghamshire, Bonaparte's Gull in Kent, Forster's Tern in County Louth, four Black-winged Stilts in Cheshire, Lesser Yellowlegs in Scilly, White-rumped Sandpipers in Yorkshire, Lincolnshire and Norfolk and the Laughing Gull and two Wilson's Petrels were seen from the Scilly pelagic.

Scarcity highlights included a Rose-coloured Starling, four Spotted Crakes, a Night Heron, four Purple Herons, 18 Glossy Ibises, an American Golden Plover, a Temminck's Stint, a Grey Phalarope, two Pectoral Sandpipers, two Honey Buzzards, a Tundra Bean Goose, a Surf Scoter, a Ring-necked Duck, a Sabine's Gull, a Glaucous Gull, two Pomarine Skuas, four Cory's Shearwaters and 62 Great Shearwaters.

Friday 12th August 2022  
  New discoveries today included an Aquatic Warbler at Lytchett Bay, Dorset, a Ferruginous Duck at Holme Pierrepont, Nottinghamshire, a Black Kite at Loch Caolisport, Argyll and a White-rumped Sandpiper at Frampton Marsh RSPB, Lincolnshire.

Lingering rarities included the Turkestan Shrike in Yorkshire, five Black-winged Stilts in Cheshire, Lesser Yellowlegs in Scilly, Squacco Heron in Sussex, seven Bee-Eaters in Norfolk and Ferruginous Ducks in Warwickshire (two) and Northamptonshire.

Scarcity highlights included a Rose-coloured Starling, two Wrynecks, three Icterine Warblers, a Pectoral Sandpiper, a Temminck's Stint, two Red-necked Phalaropes, two Spotted Crakes, two Honey Buzzards, two Purple Herons, 11 Glossy Ibises, a Pomarine Skua, a Sabine's Gull, 12 Cory's Shearwaters, 41 Great Shearwaters, two Glaucous Gulls and a Tundra Bean Goose.

Thursday 11th August 2022  
  Five Black-winged Stilts were discovered at Doddington, Cheshire, whilst lingering rarities seen today included the Harlequin Duck in Shetland, Turkestan Shrike in Yorkshire, Squacco Heron in Sussex, Lesser Yellowlegs in Scilly, Iberian Chiffchaff in London, seven Bee-eaters in Norfolk and Ferruginous Ducks in Warwickshire (two) and Northamptonshire. Three Wilson's Petrels were seen from the Scilly pelagic along with a Cory's Shearwater and 15 Great Shearwaters.

Other scarcity highlights included two Icterine Warblers, two Honey Buzzards, a Spotted Crake, a Night Heron, three Purple Herons, eight Glossy Ibises, a Temminck's Stint, a Pectoral Sandpiper, two Red-necked Phalaropes, a Glaucous Gull and an Iceland Gull.

Wednesday 10th August 2022  
  Rarities today comprised the Cape Gull still in Cambridgeshire, Harlequin Duck on the Shetland Isles, Turkestan Shrike in East Yorkshire, Laughing Gull on the Isles of Scilly, Black Scoter in Aberdeenshire, Squacco Heron in West Sussex, King Eider in Lothian, White-rumped Sandpipers in both Leicestershire and East Yorkshire, two Ferruginous Ducks still together in Warwickshire, and Bee-eaters in both Hertfordshire and Norfolk (5).

Scarcities included Night Heron (Kent), Cory's Shearwater (County Kerry), Surf Scoter (Aberdeenshire), two each of Spotted Crake, Temminck's Stint, and Pectoral Sandpiper, three Purple Herons, and a total of 18 Glossy Ibises.

Tuesday 9th August 2022  
  Rarities today comprised the Cape Gull still in Cambridgeshire at Grafham Water, Harlequin Duck on the Shetland Isles, Turkestan Shrike in East Yorkshire, Squacco Heron in West Sussex, Black Kite in Ceredigion, White-rumped Sandpiper in Leicestershire, both Lesser Yellowlegs and Wilson's Petrel in the Isles of Scilly, Bonaparte's Gull in Kent, a Black Kite briefly in Lothian, at least two Bee-eaters in Norfolk, and Ferruginous Ducks in both Northamptonshire and Warwickshire (2).

Scarcities included Night Heron (Kent), Barred Warbler (Northumberland), Rose-coloured Starling (Shetland Isles), Spotted Crake (Devon), Surf Scoter (Aberdeenshire), Temminck's Stint (West Sussex), Long-tailed Skua (South Yorkshire), two Pectoral Sandpipers, three each of both Purple Heron and Great Shearwater, and a total of 15 Glossy Ibises.

Late news concerned up to 49 Wilson's Petrels noted at sea off County Cork in recent days.

Monday 8th August 2022  
  In Cambridgeshire, the Cape Gull lingered at Grafham Water all day. The Elegant Tern reappeared, this time on Aughinish Island, County Clare, and the Scilly Laughing Gull was seen from the evening pelagic, along with at least six Wilson's Petrels.

Other lingering rarities seen today included the Harlequin Duck in Shetland, Turkestan Shrike in Yorkshire, Squacco Heron in Sussex, Forster's Tern in County Louth, Bonaparte's Gull in Argyll, Lesser Yellowlegs in Scilly, White-rumped Sandpiper in Leicestershire, King Eider in Lothian, two Ferruginous Ducks in Warwickshire and another in Northamptonshire and five Bee-eaters in Norfolk. A Black Kite flew over Belhaven Bay.

Scarcity highlights included an Icterine Warbler, a Rose-coloured Starling, a Spotted Crake, a Purple Heron, 21 Glossy Ibises, two Pectoral Sandpipers, two Red-necked Phalaropes, a Honey Buzzard, a Glaucous Gull, a Pomarine Skua and 15 Balearic Shearwaters.
