Lingering rarities confirmed as still present were the Greater Sand Plover in Cleveland, Turkestan Shrike in East Yorkshire, Roller in Lincolnshire, Caspian Tern in Norfolk, Greenish Warbler on Shetland, and Bonaparte's Gull in Kent. Scarcity highlights included 3 Barred Warblers, 4 Red-backed Shrikes, 3 Wrynecks, 9 Pec Sands, 2 Purple Herons, 3 Spotted Crakes, Surf Scoter, 8 Grey Phalaropes and 4 Red-necked Phalaropes. |

| The highlight of the day was a dark morph Eleonora's Falcon in Norfolk at Horsey and then
later relocated at Hickling Broad. Breaking news from elsewhere included a Roller in Lincolnshire at Timberland, a Lesser Yellowlegs in County Louth at Dundalk, and in Gloucestershire a
Kentish Plover flew over Severn Beach. Lingering rarities confirmed as still present were the Greater Sand Plover in Cleveland, Turkestan Shrike in East Yorkshire, Forster's Tern in County Louth, Black Scoter in Aberdeenshire, Aquatic Warbler in Cornwall, and Bonaparte's Gull in Kent. Seabirds today included a Fea's/Desertas Petrel at sea off the Isles of Scilly, a Wilson's Petrel at sea off County Cork, four Long-tailed Skuas, five Sabine's Gulls, 67 Cory's Shearwaters, and a total of 163 Great Shearwaters. On the Shetland Isles scarce migrants comprised Greenish Warbler, Citrine Wagtail, Melodious Warbler, Marsh Warbler, Icterine Warbler, two Common Rosefinches, and a total of four Barred Warblers. Elsewhere, Melodious Warbler (Cornwall), two each of Purple Heron, Red-necked Phalarope, Wryneck, and Surf Scoter, three of both Red-backed Shrike and Temminck's Stint, six of Spotted Crake and Pectoral Sandpiper, and 19 Glossy Ibises were all logged. |

The big discovery of the day came in the evening when a Greater Sand Plover was found in Cleveland at Redcar, most likely the same individual that had been in Aberdeenshire prior. Elsewhere a Greenish Warbler was on Foula, Aquatic Warbler in Cornwall and Citrine Wagtail in Dorset. Lingering rarities included the Turkestan Shrike in Yorkshire, Citrine Wagtail in Gwent, nine Bee-eaters in Norfolk, four Black-winged Stilts in Cheshire, White-rumped Sandpiper in Lothian. Scarcity highlights included a Barred Warbler, 2 Icterine Warblers, 5 Red-backed Shrikes, 4 Wrynecks, American Golden Plover, 7 Pec Sands, 2 Purple Herons, 3 Spotted Crakes, Surf Scoter, 8 Grey Phals and Red-necked Phal |

New rarities included a Black-browed Albatross past County Kerry plus a Fea’s type petrel and a Bee-eater on the Isle of Wight. Lingering rarities included the Turkestan Shrike in Yorkshire, Citrine Wagtail in Gwent, Iberian Chiffchaff in London, nine Bee-eaters in Norfolk, four Black-winged Stilts in Cheshire, King Eider in Lothian and White-rumped Sandpiper, Ferruginous Duck in Northamptonshire. Scarcity highlights included a 4 Barred Warblers, 2 Icterine Warblers, 4 Red-backed Shrikes, 5 Wrynecks, American Golden Plover, 7 Pec Sands, 3 Purple Herons, 4 Spotted Crakes, Surf Scoter, 8 Grey Phals and Red-necked Phal |

| The highlight of the day was the discovery of a male Harlequin Duck on St Kilda, Western Isles; presumably the same individual as
earlier present on Unst, Shetland Isles on 5th-11th August. Rarities elsewhere included the
Turkestan Shrike still in East Yorkshire, Black Scoter in Aberdeenshire,
Iberian Chiffchaff in London, Citrine Wagtail in Gwent, White-rumped Sandpiper in Lothian,
Bonaparte's Gull in Kent, three Black-winged Stilts together in Cheshire, and
Bee-eaters in Aberdeenshire, Hampshire, and Norfolk (10). A noticeable arrival of birds on the Shetland Isles included Greenish Warbler, Citrine Wagtail, Shorelark, Wryneck, two Common Rosefinches, and three each of both Icterine Warbler and Barred Warbler. Seabirds logged today included 12 each of both Wilson's Petrel and Sabine's Gull, three Long-tailed Skuas, 38 Cory's Shearwaters, and 158 Great Shearwaters. Other scarcities included Purple Heron (Buckinghamshire), Red-necked Phalarope (East Yorkshire), Temminck's Stint (Northumberland), Dotterel (Kent), American Wigeon (County Londonderry), Surf Scoter (Angus), two American Golden Plovers, three each of both Red-backed Shrikes and Wrynecks, five of Pectoral Sandpiper and Spotted Crake, and a total of 22 Glossy Ibises. |

| A Great Snipe was seen briefly on Fair Isle, Shetland today, whilst a Fea's/Desertas Petrel was off the Scillonian.III, a White-rumped Sandpiper was at Musselburgh, Lothian and a Bee-eater was in Snettisham, Norfolk.
Lingering rarities included the Turkestan Shrike in Yorkshire, Citrine Wagtail in Gwent, Iberian Chiffchaff in London, nine Bee-eaters in Norfolk, Forster's Tern in County Louth, four Black-winged Stilts in Cheshire, King Eider in Lothian and Wilson's Petrels from the Scilly pelagic (three) and from a pelagic off Falmouth, Cornwall (two). Scarcity highlights included a Barred Warbler, a Melodious Warbler, three Icterine Warblers, a Red-backed Shrike, a Wryneck, two American Golden Plovers, three Pectoral Sandpipers, a Purple Heron, 14 Glossy Ibises, five Spotted Crakes, two Surf Scoters, a Tundra Bean Goose, 56 Roseate Terns, a Pomarine Skua, a Red-necked Phalarope, two Grey Phalaropes, three Sabine's Gulls, 138 Balearic Shearwaters, 141 Great Shearwaters and around 450 Cory's Shearwaters. |

| Seabirds again provided the headlines with a Fea's/Desertas Petrel passing Porthgwarra, Cornwall, and totals of 41
Wilson's Petrels, six Long-tailed Skuas, nine Sabine's Gulls, 30
Cory's Shearwaters, 492 Balearic Shearwaters, and 536 Great
Shearwaters. Rarities today comprised the Greater Sand Plover still in Aberdeenshire, Turkestan Shrike still in East Yorkshire, Forster's Tern in County Louth, Pied-billed Grebe in Argyll, Citrine Wagtail in Gwent, Iberian Chiffchaff in London, King Eider in Lothian, Bonaparte's Gull in Kent, the family of four Black-winged Stilts in Cheshire, Bee-eater in Dumfries and Galloway and Norfolk (9). Scarcities included Woodchat Shrike (Devon), Melodious Warbler (Dorset), Icterine Warbler and Barred Warbler (Shetland Isles), Purple Heron (Kent), Ring-billed Gull (County Louth), Dotterel (Northumberland), two each of American Golden Plover, Red-backed Shrike, and Temminck's Stint, three Pectoral Sandpipers, five Spotted Crakes, seven Wrynecks, and a total of eight Glossy Ibises. |

| The highlight of the day was the discovery of a Greater Sand Plover in Aberdeenshire at St Combs. Seabird tallies comprised a Barolo Shearwater in County Wexford passing Carnsore Point, a Fea's/Desertas Petrel in Cornwall passing Porthgwarra, a total of 28 Wilson's Petrels, 34 Cory's Shearwaters, 215 Great Shearwaters, 27 Sabine's Gulls, and five Long-tailed Skuas. Rarities elsewhere comprised the Turkestan Shrike still in East Yorkshire, Pied-billed Grebe in Argyll, Iberian Chiffchaff in London, Citrine Wagtail in Gwent, Caspian Tern and 10 Bee-eaters together in Norfolk, Bonaparte's Gull in Kent, Ferruginous Duck in Northamptonshire, and the family of four Black-winged Stilts in Cheshire. | Seabirds provided the highlights today with 11 Wilson's Petrels, 284 Great
Shearwaters, 12 Cory's Shearwaters, four Sabine's Gulls, and two
Long-tailed Skuas all logged in the west. Rarities today included a Pacific Golden Plover new in Cleveland at Saltholme, the Sharp-tailed Sandpiper still in County Cork, Turkestan Shrike still in East Yorkshire, Forster's Tern in County Louth, Squacco Heron in West Sussex, Caspian Tern and 10 Bee-eaters in Norfolk, Citrine Wagtail in Gwent, Bonaparte's Gull in Kent, and the family of four Black-winged Stilts still in Cheshire. Scarcities included Night Heron (Kent), American Golden Plover (County Wexford), Red-necked Phalarope (Essex), Temminck's Stint (Norfolk), two each of both Barred Warbler and Red-backed Shrike, three Icterine Warblers, six Wrynecks, seven Spotted Crakes, and a total of 14 Glossy Ibises. |

| New discoveries today included an Aquatic Warbler at Galley Head, County Cork, the first in Ireland since 2014, a Citrine Wagtail at Newport Wetlands, Gwent, a Black Kite over Grove Ferry, Kent, a Caspian Tern at Hickling, Norfolk, an Azorean Yellow-legged Gull in County Mayo and a Wilson's Petrel off Porthgwarra, Cornwall.
Lingering rarities seen today included the Sharp-tailed Sandpiper in County Cork, Turkestan Shrike in Yorkshire, Squacco Heron in Sussex, four Black-winged Stilts in Cheshire, Forster's Tern in County Louth, Bonaparte's Gull in Kent, eight Bee-eaters in Norfolk, King Eider in Lothian, Ferruginous Duck in Northamptonshire and 15 Wilson's Petrels from the Scilly pelagic. Other seabirds recorded included 14 Sabine's Gulls, a Grey Phalarope, a Pomarine Skua, six Long-tailed Skuas, around 135 Balearic Shearwaters, around 119 Cory's Shearwaters and around 291 Great Shearwaters. Scarcity highlgihts included a Melodious Warbler, an Icterine Warbler, a Barred Warbler, a Red-backed Shrike, two Wrynecks, seven Spotted Crakes, a Dotterel, a Temminck's Stint, two Pectoral Sandpipers, a Purple Heron, five Glossy Ibises, seven Honey Buzzards, a White-winged Black Tern and a Glaucous Gull. |
