Thursday 30th June 2022
The highlight of the day was the continued presence of both the Turkestan Shrike and Black-browed Albatross at Bempton Cliffs, East Yorkshire, where an Alpine Swift flew over during the afternoon.

Rarities elsewhere comprised the Caspian Tern still in Nottinghamshire, terrtitorial Great Reed Warblers in both Norfolk and Nottinghamshire, four Bee-eaters still at the nest in Norfolk, and a Ferruginous Duck new at Hornsea Mere, East Yorkshire.

Scarcities included American Golden Plover (County Wexford), Red-backed Shrike (Suffolk), Temminck's Stint (Clyde), and a total of five Glossy Ibises.

Significant late news concerned the Short-toed Eagle reported as still present recently in Highland at Loch Grudie.
