| Breaking news day included a Savi's Warbler in Essex at East Tilbury, a
Lesser Yellowlegs in Suffolk at Southwold, a White-billed Diver in County Donegal off Tory Island, and in Kent a
Black-wnged Stilt at Sandwich Bay and a Black Kite at Dungeness. Elsewhere rarities comprised the Greater Sand Plover still in County Waterford, Black-browed Albatross again in East Yorkshire, both Red-breasted Goose and Dusky Warbler in Norfolk, King Eiders in both Cleveland and Lothian, Ferruginous Duck in Worcestershire, a White-billed Diver in Moray, and two Bonaparte's Gulls together in County Wexford. Scarcities included Serin (County Wexford), Night Heron (Devon), Purple Heron (Somerset), Green-winged Teal (Angus), Black Brant (East Yorkshire), Kumlien's Gull (Western Isles), two each of Hoopoe, Pectoral Sandpiper, and Ring-necked Duck, eight migrant Dotterel, and a total of 25 Glossy Ibises. |
