  The highlight of the day was two mega-alerts: a Greater Sand Plover in County Waterford at Tramore Strand, and a Black-eared Wheatear species briefly on St Mary's, Isles of Scilly.

Rarities elsewhere comprised a Ferruginous Duck new in Worcestershire at Grimley, the Red-breasted Goose still in Norfolk, King Eider still in Cleveland, White-billed Diver still in Moray, and a Red-rumped Swallow briefly on Tresco, Scilly.

Scarcities included Purple Heron (Somerset), Golden Oriole (Scilly), Marsh Warbler (London), Richard's Pipit (Cornwall), American Wigeon (Northumberland), Surf Scoter (Lothian), Temminck's Stint (Cambridgeshire), Shorelark (Norfolk), Lapland Bunting (Shetland Isles), two each of Serin, Night Heron, and Green-winged Teal, three Pectoral Sandpipers, four Wrynecks, five of Hoopoe and Ring-necked Duck, 11 migrant Dotterel, and a total of 15 Glossy Ibises.
