Southern arrivals continued with in Ireland single Subalpine Warbler species on both Cape Clear, County Cork, and on Great Saltee, County Wexford, the latter alongside a
Woodchat Shrike. Elsewhere, Spanish Wagtail and Hoopoe on the Isles of Scilly, a
Black-winged Stilt still in Carmarthenshire, Short-toed Lark and
Hoopoe on the Shetland Isles, Purple Heron in Somerset, and Serin in Dorset. Rarities elsewhere comprised the Belted Kingfisher still in Lancashire, Black-browed Albatross still in East Yorkshire, Pacific Golden Plover in Suffolk, Red-breasted Goose and Dusky Warbler both in Norfolk, Blue-winged Teal in Cambridgeshire, two Hornemann's Arctic Redpolls together on the Shetland Isles, King Eiders in Lothian and Moray, Lesser Yellowlegs in Shetland, Suffolk and County Wexford, Lesser Scaups in Clyde (2) and Somerset, and White-billed Divers in Aberdeenshire and Moray (3). |
