Rarities today comprised the Double-crested Cormorant still in County Leitrim,
American Robin and Hume's Warbler both still in East Sussex, White-tailed Lapwing in Lincolnshire,
Baikal Teal and two Penduline Tits in Somerset, Red-breasted Geese
in Argyll, Essex, and Norfolk, King Eiders in Highland and Lothian, and
Lesser Scaups in Clyde (2) and Dorset. Scarcities included Rose-coloured Starling (Cornwall), American Wigeon (Nottinghamshire), Surf Scoter (Cornwall), two each of both Yellow-browed Warbler and Kumlien's Gull, three of Ring-billed Gull, Snow Goose, and Black Brant, four Shorelarks, six Glossy Ibises, seven Waxwings, and a total of nine Ring-necked Ducks. |
