Rarities today comprised the Belted Kingfisher still in Lancashire, White-tailed Lapwing in Lincolnshire,
Northern Harrier in County Offaly, Pacific Diver in Glamorgan, both Baikal Teal
and Penduline Tit in Somerset, Pied-billed Grebe in Argyll,
Ross's Goose in Clyde, Hume's Warbler in East Sussex, Red-flanked Bluetail in County Durham,
King Eider in Highland, Lesser Yellowlegs in Suffolk, and Lesser Scaups in County Armagh, Ayrshire, Dorset, and the Western Isles. Scarcities included Pallas's Warbler (Norfolk), American Wigeon (Nottinghamshire), Ring-billed Gull (Lothian), Surf Scoter (Conwy), Snow Goose (Cheshire), Great Grey Shrike (Cambridgeshire), Black Brant (Dorset), two each of Lapland Bunting, Yellow-browed Warbler, and Green-winged Teal, four Waxwings, nine Ring-necked Ducks, and a total of 29 Glossy Ibises. |
