| Rarities today comprised the Belted Kingfisher still in County Cork, Hudsonian Godwit still in Fife, Bufflehead
in County Down, Pied-billed Grebe in Shropshire, Rustic Bunting in Surrey,
Penduline Tit in Hampshire, Eastern Yellow Wagtails in both Somerset and Suffolk,
Long-billed Dowitcher in Cumbria, Lesser Yellowlegs in North Yorkshire, County Waterford, and the Western Isles,
Ferruginous Ducks in Hampshire and Leicestershire, two King Eiders together in County Donegal, seven
White-billed Divers together on the Orkney Isles, and Dusky Warblers in Cambridgeshire, Cornwall, Kent (3), and the Isles of Scilly. Scarcities included Ring-billed Gull (Cornwall), American Wigeon (County Antrim), Black Brant (Norfolk), Waxwing (North Yorkshire), two each of Richard's Pipit, Rose-coloured Starling, and Great Grey Shrike, three of Little Bunting, Surf Scoter, and Green-winged Teal, five Yellow-browed Warblers, six Lapland Buntings, nine Ring-necked Ducks, and a total of 11 Glossy Ibises. |
