  Lingering rarities still present today included the Blue Rock Thrush in Gloucestershire, Pine Buntings in Kent and Yorkshire, Red-flanked Bluetail in Glamorgan, Hume's Warbler in Dorset, Eastern Black Redstart in Cleveland, Desert Wheatear in Devon, Coues's Arctic Redpoll in Clyde, Pacific Divers in Northumberland and Cornwall, Black Duck in Highland, Lesser Scaup in Orkney, Red-breasted Goose in Lancashire, Killdeer in Shetland, Hudsonian Whimbrel in Cornwall, Lesser Yellowlegs in Dorset, Bonaparte's Gull in Clyde and Pallid Harrier in Yorkshire.

Scarcity highlights included a Bluethroat, a Little Bunting, a Serin, a Night Heron, a Temminck's Stint, two Rose-coloured Starlings, three Richard's Pipits and four Yellow-browed Warblers.
