  Lingering rarities still present today included the Blue Rock Thrush in Gloucestershire, Red-flanked Bluetail in Glamorgan, Pine Buntings in Yorkshire and Kent, Eastern Black Redstart in Cleveland, Hume's Warbler in Dorset, Desert Wheatear in Devon, American Coot in the Western Isles, Pacific Divers in Northumberland and Cornwall, White-billed Diver in Orkney, Hooded Merganser in Clyde, King Eider in County Kerry, Black Duck in Highland, Hudsonian Whimbrel in Cornwall, Lesser Yellowlegs in Dorset, Bonaparte's Gulls in Clyde and County Cork, Richardson's Cackling Goose in Argyll and Ferruginous Duck in Hampshire.

Scarcity highlights included the Bluethroat, Rose-coloured Starling, two Little Buntings, three Richard's Pipits, six Yellow-browed Warblers, a Lesser Snow Goose, a Todd's Canada Goose and a Temminck's Stint.
