| Rarities today comprised the Blue Rock Thrush still in Gloucestershire,
Pine Bunting in North Yorkshire, Pacific Diver, Desert Wheatear and
Bonaparte's Gull in Devon, Pacific Diver and Black Scoter in Northumberland,
Forster's Tern in County Galway, Hooded Merganser and Coues's Arctic Redpoll in Clyde,
Pallid Harrier in East Yorkshire, Black Duck in Highland, Red-flanked Bluetail in Glamorgan,
Eastern Black Redstart in Cleveland, Hume's Warbler and Lesser Yellowlegs in Dorset, King Eider in County Kerry and
Red-breasted Goose in Lancashire. Scarcities included Bluethroat (Lincolnshire), Serin (East Sussex), Rose-coloured Starling (West Sussex), two Rough-legged Buzzards, three each of both Little Bunting and Richard's Pipit, four each of Ring-billed Gull and Glossy Ibis, five American Wigeons, six Ring-necked Ducks, eight Great Grey Shrikes, 13 Lapland Buntings, 35 Shorelarks, 46 Cattle Egrets and 109 Tundra Bean Geese. |
