| Lingering rarities still present today included the Dusky Thrush in
Derbyshire, Killdeer in Shetland, American Coot in the
Western Isles, Black Scoter in Northumberland, Pacific Diver,
Eastern Black Redstart and Lesser Scaup in Cornwall, Pallid
Harrier in Yorkshire, Lesser Yellowlegs in Dorset and Ferruginous
Duck in Norfolk.
Scarcity highlights included a Pallas's Warbler, a Great Grey Shrike, three Yellow-browed Warblers, three Ring-necked Ducks, three American Wigeon and three Green-winged Teals. Scarce gull totals were 51 Glaucous Gulls, 19 Iceland Gulls and six Ring-billed Gulls. |
