  Rarities today comrpised Penduline Tits in Cleveland (2) and Norfolk, Lesser Scaup still in Cornwall, and single Long-billed Dowitchers in Hampshire, Leicestershire and Northumberland.

Scarcities included Pallas's Warbler (Dorset), Little Bunting (Surrey), Hoopoe (Staffordshire), American Wigeon (Somerset), two each of Richard's Pipit, Shorelark, Surf Scoter, Ring-necked Duck, Rough-legged Buzzard and Cattle Egret, four Glossy Ibises, five Ring-billed Gulls, nine Lapland Buntings and 12 Great Grey Shrikes.
