| Lingering rarities seen today included the Black Scoter in County
Kerry, single Long-billed Dowitchers in Leicestershire, Hampshire and
Northumberland, two Penduline Tits in Cleveland and single Lesser
Scaups in Cornwall and Glamorgan.
Scarcity highlights included a Hoopoe, an American Wigeon, a Balearic Shearwater, a Pomarine Skua, two Shorelarks, two Great Grey Shrikes, two Ring-necked Ducks, three Green-winged Teals, three Glossy Ibises, four Lapland Buntings and four Ring-billed Gulls. |
