  Rarities today comprised Penduline Tits in both Cleveland (2) and Norfolk, two White-billed Divers together on the Western Isles, Long-billed Dowitchers in both Hampshire and Northumberland, and single Lesser Scaups still in Cornwall and Glamorgan.

Scarcities included Little Bunting (Surrey), Hoopoe (West Midlands), Surf Scoter (North Yorkshire), Cattle Egret (Kent) and Glossy Ibis (Devon), with two each of Richard's Pipit, Rough-legged Buzzard and Ring-necked Duck, three Waxwings (together in Highland), six Great Grey Shrikes, and eight each of both Lapland Bunting and Ring-billed Gull.

Spring arrivals included Tree Pipit, three Ring Ouzels, four House Martins, nine Ospreys and 10 Garganey.
