  Lingering rarities seen today included the Crag Martin at Chesterfield, Derbyshire, Long-billed Dowitcher at Cresswell, Northumberland, White-rumped Sandpiper at Musselburgh, Lothian, Lesser Scaup at Lower Moors, Isles of Scilly, Bonaparte's Gull at Dawlish, Devon and Ferruginous Duck at Washington, Durham.

Scarcity highlights included a Hoopoe, a Red-breasted Flycatcher, a Grey Phalarope, a Surf Scoter, an American Wigeon, two Ring-necked Ducks, two Rough-legged Buzzards and six Great Grey Shrikes.
