| Lingering rarities confirmed as still present today were the Hudsonian Whimbrel
in West Sussex, Paddyfield Warbler on the Shetland Isles, Broad-billed Sandpiper in Norfolk, and Red-footed Falcon in Staffordshire. Scarcities included Serin (Cheshire), Rose-coloured Starling (Glamorgan), Red-backed Shrike (Oxfordshire and Hampshire), Night Heron (Northamptonshire), Ring-billed Gull and Great Shearwater (both Cornwall), and Pectoral Sandpipers (Devon, County Donegal and Hertfordshire). |
