| Lingering rarities confirmed as still present today were the Paddyfield Warbler on the Shetland Isles,
Hudsonian Whimbrel in West Sussex, Greater Yellowlegs in Hampshire,
Least Sandpiper on the Isles of Scilly, Broad-billed Sandpiper in Norfolk,
White-rumped Sandpipers in East Yorkshire and on the Orkney Isles, Bonaparte's Gull
in Kent, and Red-footed Falcon in Staffordshire. Scarcities included Serin (East Yorkshire), Night Heron (Northamptonshire and South Yorkshire), Ring-billed Gull (Cornwall), and Pectoral Sandpiper (Devon (2) and County Wexford). |
