  The first Black-winged Stilt of the year was discovered this morning at Abbotsbury Swannery, Dorset.

Lingering rarities seen today included the Harlequin Duck and three White-billed Divers in Aberdeenshire, American Coot in the Western Isles, Black Scoter in County Kerry, Black Duck in the Isles of Scilly, American Herring Gull in Cornwall, Laughing Gull in Wirral, single Bonaparte's Gulls in Dorset and Glamorgan, two Penduline Tits in Devon and Lesser Scaup in Glamorgan.

The best of the rest involved a Serin in Norfolk, Little Bunting in Glamorgan, American Wigeon in Nottinghamshire and at least four Night Herons in the Isles of Scilly.
