  The first Pacific Golden Plover for Staffordshire was discovered mid morning, and remained at Middleton Lakes RSPB, Drayton Bassett all day. Further north, a White-rumped Sandpiper was at Cresswell Pond NWT, Northumberland.

Lingering rarities included the Black-winged Pratincole in Cambridgeshire, Collared Pratincole and six Black-winged Stilts in Suffolk, four Black-winged Stilts in Sussex, Lesser Yellowlegs in Lincolnshire, Ross's Gull in Devon and Bonaparte's Gull in Kent.

Scarcities included the Night Heron in Warwickshire, an adult Long-tailed Skua in the Titchwell area of Norfolk, an adult Sabine's Gull at Paxton Pits NR and a Temminck's Stint on the Ouse Washes, Cambridgeshire, an adult White-winged Black Tern in Cleveland, a Purple Heron at Claxton Marshes, Norfolk and two Surf Scoters off Blackdog, Aberdeenshire.
