  The highlight of the day was the discovery of the first Aquatic Warbler of the autumn, trapped and ringed at Lytchett Bay, Dorset. Rarities elsewhere comprised the Swinhoe's Petrel trapped again on Fair Isle, Black-winged Pratincole again in Cambridgeshire, Pacific Golden Plover still on the Orkney Isles, Collared Pratincole in Suffolk, Lesser Yellowlegs in Lincolnshire, Ross's Gull in Devon, Laughing Gull in County Cork, Bonaparte's Gull in Devon, and Black-winged Stilt families still in Suffolk (6) and West Sussex (5).

Scarcities included Night Heron (Warwickshire), Cory's Shearwater (Cornwall), Temminck's Stint (Cambridgeshire), Ring-necked Duck (Angus), Cattle Egret (County Down), Glossy Ibis (Cumbria, Lincolnshire and Oxfordshire), eight Great White Egrets, 11 Caspian Gulls and a total of 56 Spoonbills.
