Lingering rarities confirmed as still present today were the American Coot in County Galway, two American Buff-bellied Pipits
in Berkshire, Desert Wheatear in Aberdeenshire, Western Subalpine Warbler in Cornwall,
Bonaparte's Gull in Glamorgan, Lesser Yellowlegs in Devon, Lesser Scaup
in Somerset, Northern Harrier in County Wexford, and Black-bellied Dipper
in Norfolk. Scarcities inclued Pallas's Warbler (Berkshire), Rough-legged Buzzard (Norfolk), American Wigeon (County Leitrim), Ring-necked Duck (County Donegal) and Ring-billed Gull (County Cork, Hampshire, Shetland Isles and West Yorkshire). |
