  Lingering rarities confirmed as still present today were the American Coot in County Galway, two American Buff-bellied Pipits in Berkshire, Desert Wheatear in Aberdeenshire, Western Subalpine Warbler in Cornwall, Bonaparte's Gull in Glamorgan, Lesser Scaups in both County Clare and Somerset, Glossy Ibis in Pembrokeshire, and Black-bellied Dipper in Norfolk.

Scarcities included Pallas's Warbler (Berkshire), Rose-coloured Starling (Devon), Cattle Egret (County Donegal), Rough-legged Buzzard (three in Norfolk), Snow Goose (County Donegal and Lancashire), Ring-necked Duck (County Down and Pembrokeshire), Surf Scoter (County Kerry, Pembrokeshire and County Waterford), and Kumlien's Gull (East Yorkshire).
