A Little Bittern in Kent was perhaps the most surprising discovery today, when it was flushed at Sevenoaks Wildfowl Reserve. American waders found today included single Semipalmated Sandpipers at Tyninghame Bay, Lothian and Lough Foyle, County Derry, a White-rumped Sandpiper at Steart, Somerset and single American Golden Plovers at The Cull, County Wexford and Achill Island, County Mayo. A Lesser Scaup was at Loch Leven, Perth and Kinross and a Pacific Golden Plover was at Derrybeg, County Donegal.

Lingering rarities included the Short-billed Dowitchers in Scilly and Dorset, Baillon's Crake in London, Red-eyed Vireo in Shetland, two Citrine Wagtails on the Isles of Scilly, Baird's Sandpiper in County Wicklow, Spotted Sandpiper in County Kerry, White-rumped Sandpiper, American Golden Plover and Glossy Ibis in County Wexford, Lesser Yellowlegs in Cornwall, Long-billed Dowitcher in Gloucestershire, Lesser Scaup in Somerset and Ferruginous Duck in Lincolnshire.
