| The highlight of the day was the continued presence of the Stilt Sandpiper in Northumberland, whilst the
Long-billed Dowitcher remained in Gloucestershire, two Blue-winged Teals
showed in County Wexford and a Glossy Ibis was still in County Cork. Scarce migrants included Night Heron (Hampshire), Pectoral Sandpiper (Kent), Caspian Gull (Surrey) and Great White Egret (Essex and Worcestershire). Seawatching highlights comprised a Cory's and three Great Shearwaters passing west Cornwall, four Pomarine Skuas, and 18 Balearic Shearwaters across five counties between Ayrshire and Hampshire. |
