	New discoveries included a White-rumped Sandpiper on Brownsea Island (Dorset) and a Lesser Yellowlegs on Mainland Orkney for its second day. In Cornwall an Alpine Swift was reported in Portscatho and lingering rarities comprised Semipalmated Sandpiper in Lothian, Long-billed Dowitcher in Gloucestershire, Ferruginous Duck in Somerset and Glossy Ibis in Pembrokeshire. The best of the rest included White-winged Black Tern in Cleveland, Pectoral Sandpipers in Kent, Hampshire and Co Durham and Purple Heron in Cambridgeshire.
