| Lingering rarities confirmed as still present today were both River Warbler and
Paddyfield Warbler together on Fair Isle, Shetland Isles, Black Scoter
with five Surf Scoters in Aberdeenshire, a territorial Savi's Warbler in East Yorkshire, and single
Glossy Ibises in both West Sussex and County Wexford. Single Rose-coloured Starlings were present in Ceredigion at Ynyslas, and in Northumberland at Newbiggin, bringing the influx total for this summer to 33 birds. Scarce migrants included Icterine Warbler (Lothian), Serin (Suffolk), Red-backed Shrike (Northumberland), Sabine's Gull (Buckinghamshire/ Hertfordshire), Great White Egret (Cornwall), and Caspian Gull (Lincolnshire and Surrey). |
