  New discoveries today included a brief Black-winged Pratincole on the Cheshire / Flintshire border at Burton Mere Wetlands RSPB this evening, before it flew south, a Long-billed Dowitcher on Lough Beg, County Derry, a Black-winged Stilt at Paxton Pits NR, Cambridgeshire and at least two Red-rumped Swallows on the Isles of Scilly (two on St Martin's early morning and a single bird on Bryher later).

The possible Atlas Flycatcher remained in Yorkshire, whilst lingering rarities included single Black-winged Stilts in Fife and Cornwall, Glossy Ibis in Dorset and White-billed Divers in Moray (2) and Orkney.

A small influx of Golden Orioles into the south-west produced up to eleven on the Isles of Scilly (including five together on St Martin's, five on St Mary's and one on Bryher), one in Cornwall and one in Devon. Other scarcity highlights included a Woodchat Shrike, a Red-necked Phalarope, a Montagu's Harrier, a Spotted Crake, a Yellow-browed Warbler, two Kentish Plovers, two Hoopoes, two Short-toed Larks, three Wrynecks, five Temminck's Stints and five White Storks.
