	The juvenile Thayer's Gull returned to the Elsham area in Lincolnshire today, where it showed into the early evening. In Somerset a Black-winged Stilt was discovered at Chew Valley Lake, where a Spotted Sandpiper also lingered. Elsewhere in Somerset the two Long-billed Dowitchers remained at Meare Heath. Lingering rarities comprised Blue-winged Teal in Clyde, Northern Waterthrush on Isles of Scilly, Lesser Scaup in Glamorgan, Black-winged Stilt in Co Wexford, Falcated Duck in Co Mayo and two White-billed Divers off Lewis (Western Isles). Glossy Ibises were logged in Suffolk, Isle of Wight, Dorset, Western Isles, Essex and Pembrokeshire (3). Scarcity records included Serins in Suffolk and Dorset (2), Hoopoes in Norfolk (2) and Hampshire, Cattle Egret in Dorset, Montagu's Harrier in Cornwall, Purple Heron in Devon, Rose-coloured Starling in Hampshire, Ring-necked Duck in Kent and Pectoral Sandpiper in Ayrshire.
