  Lingering rarities comprised the Spanish Sparrow in Hampshire, Paddyfield Warbler in West Sussex, White-billed Diver in Shetland, Blue-winged Teal in Isles of Scilly, Coues's Arctic Redpoll in Norfolk, Bufflehead in Cornwall, Long-billed Dowitcher in Carmarthenshire, Ferruginous Duck in Somerset, Spotted Sandpiper in Dorset, Desert Wheatear in East Yorkshire, Red-breasted Goose in Devon and Lesser Scaup in Glamorgan. Glossy Ibises lingered in Lancashire, Ceredigion and Devon.

In Ireland two Long-billed Dowitchers remained in Co Wexford, a Bonaparte's Gull was in Co Antrim and news was released of a Snowy Owl recently photographed in Co Derry.
