  Lingering rarities still present today included the Western Sandpiper and Coues's Arctic Redpoll in Norfolk, Greater Yellowlegs in Highland, Hume's Yellow-browed Warbler in Dorset, Desert Wheatear in Northumberland, single King Eiders in County Kerry and Moray, Blue-winged Teal in the Isles of Scilly, single Glossy Ibises in Kent and Lancashire, Richardson's Canada Goose in County Sligo, single Lesser Scaups in Gloucestershire and Somerset and single Spotted Sandpipers in Dorset, Somerset and Devon.
