Great news, after working very closely with the Parks Trust, we are able to allow non-member access on Saturday 11th November. Please note that this is the only day that non member access will be made available.

There is a revised entry system as well. Please park in Stonepit Car Park Off Wolverton Road or the Black Horse Pub car park - again off Wolverton Road, regarding the latter, please park at the far end of the car park and please do pop in and buy lunch or a drink afterwards.

Once parked, please walk along Wolverton Road towards the road bridge and then walk under the canal, and walk along the canal for 200 yds, at this point turn right and walk around the east side of Stanton Low park field, at the bottom there will be a gate with local birders collecting your minimum £5 donation, maps.app.goo.gl/6j12YXSCMUaUwWkn9

Once through the gate you will be shown where to go and signposts will guide the way to the near Otter Hide, queue management systems will be in operation.

Access will be from 7am until 14:00 only (last access at 14:00) you will be asked to leave the hide at 16:30 when we will secure the site, this time has been chosen so that you will be walking back to your cars with daylight still.

Please note that the car park that has been used will ONLY be available to Permit Holders only.

Do not arrive at the main gate unless you are a permit holder as no one will be on this gate.

As Permit Holders PLEASE ensure that you close and padlock the gate on entry and exit.

A map of the route into the reserve and hide will be sent in a separate message.

There will be NO further non permit holder access after Saturday for the duration of the Little Crakes, hopefully extended stay.

If you would like to purchase an annual permit - please do so by following this link.

Thank you for working with us in making sure everyone gets the opportunity to see this amazing bird and visit our wonderful local nature reserve, these access arrangements have been put in place to ensure peoples safety onsite and to also minimise disruption to neighbouring landowners, as well as to ensure that if Linford was to host another rare bird, access will be granted again.
