| Rarities today comprised both the American White-winged Scoter and the
King Eider still in Aberdeenshire, Great Knot and Caspian Tern remain in Norfolk,
Bonaparte's Gull in Northumberland, and Iberian Chiffchaff on the Isles of Scilly, where the first
Wilson's Petrel of the summer was recorded from a pelagic. Scarcities included Red-backed Shrike (Kent), Red-necked Phalarope (Northumberland), and Cattle Egret (Dorset and County Wexford). |

| Sunday 26th June 2016 | ||
|
||
| Rarities today comprised both the American White-winged Scoter and King Eider
still in Aberdeenshire, Great Knot and Caspian Tern in Norfolk,
Dalmatian Pelican in Cornwall, territorial Little Bittern in South Yorkshire, Bonaparte's Gull
in Northumberland, and the King Eider in Lothian, whilst on the Shetland Isles an Alpine Swift was discovered at Point of Fethaland, Mainland. Scarcities included Bluethroat, Serin and Glossy Ibis (all Suffolk), Golden Oriole (Surrey), Marsh Warbler (Shetland Isles), Red-backed Shrike (Kent), Red-necked Phalarope (Northumberland), Surf Scoter (Lothian), Cattle Egret (County Wexford), and Ring-billed Gull (County Fermanagh). |

| Saturday 25th June 2016 | ||

| An adult drake American White-winged Scoter (form deglandi) was
discovered at Blackdog, Aberdeenshire late afternoon. This is the same site
which hosted Britain's only record confirmed to be of this form, the
first-summer drake in summer 2011.
Lingering rarities included the Great Knot and Caspian Tern in Norfolk, Dalmatian Pelican in Cornwall, Gull-billed Tern in Forth, Little Bittern in Yorkshire and Bonaparte's Gull in Northumberland. Scarcity highlights included a Hoopoe, a Marsh Warbler, a Red-necked Phalarope, a Surf Scoter, a Cattle Egret, a White Stork, two Honey Buzzards and five Glossy Ibises. |

|
||
| New discoveries today included a Bee-eater over Portland, Dorset and a
Black Kite at Dungeness, Kent.
Lingering rarities included the Great Knot and Caspian Tern in Norfolk, Dalmatian Pelican in Cornwall, Little Bittern in Yorkshire and Bonaparte's Gull in Northumberland. Scarcity highlights included a Marsh Warbler, a Honey Buzzard, a Red-necked Phalarope, a Surf Scoter, two Glossy Ibises, two Cattle Egrets, two Glaucous Gulls and two White Storks. |

| Wednesday 22nd June 2016 | ||
|
||
| New discoveries today included a Broad-billed Sandpiper at Gronant,
Flintshire, a Savi's Warbler at Burnham Overy, Norfolk and three
Bee-eaters at Derriton, Devon.
Lingering rarities included just the Great Knot in Norfolk, Gull-billed Tern in Forth and King Eider in Lothian. Scarcities were singles of Woodchat Shrike, Marsh Warbler, Red-necked Phalarope, American Golden Plover, Glossy Ibis, Honey Buzzard, Ring-billed Gull, Iceland Gull, White Stork and three Cattle Egrets. |

| Tuesday 21st June 2016 | ||
|
||
| Rarities today comprised the Great Knot still in Norfolk, where the Caspian Tern was reported briefly, the
Broad-billed Sandpiper still in Gwent, Gull-billed Tern in Forth,
King Eider in Lothian, Bonaparte's Gull in Northumberland, and two Bee-eaters
briefly in Devon. Scarcities included Woodchat Shrike (Borders), Serin (West Sussex), Red-necked Phalarope (Northumberland), Ring-necked Duck (Orkney Isles), three Cattle Egrets and four Glossy Ibises. Significant late news concerned a Blyth's Reed Warbler on 17th June in West Sussex at Rye Harbour, and in Somerset the recent presence of at least one territorial male Little Bittern at Ham Wall. |

| New rarities discovered today were a Caspian Tern in Norfolk at Breydon Water, a
Bonaparte's Gull in County Wexford at Tacumshin, a Red-rumped Swallow briefly in Glamorgan, and both
Black Kite and Bee-eater in Kent. Lingering rarities confirmed as still present were the Great Knot in Norfolk, Dalmatian Pelican in Cornwall, Broad-billed Sandpiper in Gwent, Gull-billed Tern in Forth, Little Bittern in South Yorkshire, Bonaparte's Gull in Northumberland, and King Eider in Lothian. Scarcities included Woodchat Shrike (Borders), Cattle Egret (West Sussex), Red-necked Phalarope (Northumberland), and Glossy Ibis (Merseyside and County Wexford). |
