| New discoveries today included an adult Bonaparte's Gull at
Oare Marshes, Kent and a Wilson's Petrel over the Porcupine Bank west of
Slyne Head, County Galway.
Lingering rarities included just the American White-winged Scoter and King Eider in Aberdeenshire and Dalmatian Pelican in Cornwall. Scarcity highlights were a White-winged Black Tern in South Yorkshire, Common Rosefinch in London, Golden Oriole in Suffolk, Temminck's Stint in Norfolk, Red-necked Phalarope in Northumberland and Glossy Ibises in Kent, Essex, South Yorkshire, Somerset (two) and County Clare (two). |

| Rarities today comprised the American White-winged Scoter and King Eider both still in Aberdeenshire,
Dalmatian Pelican still in Cornwall, Forster's Tern in County Galway,
Little Bittern in South Yorkshire and Bonaparte's Gull in Northumberland. Scarcities included a mobile White-winged Black Tern in West Yorkshire then South Yorkshire, Common Rosefinch (London), Cory's Shearwater (Isles of Scilly), Temminck's Stint (Norfolk), Ring-billed Gull (County Fermanagh), Montagu's Harrier (East Yorkshire), and Glossy Ibises (Kent, Merseyside and Shropshire). |

|
||
| New discoveries today included a White-rumped Sandpiper at Cley and a
Black Kite at Wymondham, both Norfolk.
Lingering rarities included the American White-winged Scoter in Aberdeenshire, Dalmatian Pelican in Cornwall, single Little Bitterns in Yorkshire and Somerset and Bonaparte's Gull in Northumberland. Scarcity highlights included a Common Rosefinch, a Surf Scoter, a Green-winged Teal, a Pomarine Skua, a Glossy Ibis, a White Stork and two Golden Orioles. |

| Rarities today comprised the American White-winged Scoter still in Aberdeenshire, the
Dalmatian Pelican again in Cornwall, territorial Little Bittern in South Yorkshire,
Bonaparte's Gull still in Northumberland, and a Bee-eater on the Isle of Wight briefly. Scarcities included Common Rosefinch (London), Great Shearwater (County Waterford), Surf Scoter (Lothian), and Glossy Ibis (both Shropshire and Suffolk). |

| Sunday 3rd July 2016 | ||

| New rarities discovered today comprised a Citrine Wagtail in Suffolk at Orford Ness, a
Blue-winged Teal in County Londonderry at Lough Beg, a brief Bee-eater in Norfolk at Waxham, and
Wilson's Petrels at sea off both County Cork and the Isles of Scilly. Lingering rarities confirmed as still present were the American White-winged Scoter in Aberdeenshire, both Great Knot and Savi's Warbler in Norfolk, Hudsonian Whimbrel in Cornwall, Little Bittern in South Yorkshire, Bonaparte's Gull in Northumberland, and Ferruginous Duck in County Durham. Scarcities included Common Rosefinch (London), Red-backed Shrike (Kent), Hoopoe (Somerset), Red-necked Phalarope (Northumberland), American Wigeon (Suffolk), Surf Scoter (Aberdeenshire and Lothian), and two each of both Cattle Egret and Glossy Ibis. Significant late news concerned a Seaside Sparrow that was ship-assisted from eastern North America during May, and was still onboard the cruise liner MV Balmoral at Ringaskiddy, County Cork on 18th May, Southampton, Hampshire on 20th May, and North Shields on 21st, 26th and 31st May, before the ship sailed to Iceland. |

| Saturday 2nd July 2016 | ||
|
||
| A Short-toed Eagle was seen briefly over fields near Wykeham, North
Yorkshire mid afternoon, but wasn't seen again in the area by this evening. A
Bonaparte's Gull was present on the estuary in Cork, County Cork, and news
was released of a singing Savi's Warbler at Strumpshaw Fen RSPB, Norfolk,
present since Wednesday.
