  New rarities today consisted of an exceptional haul: Bonelli's Warbler records in County Kerry, Gwynedd (Western Bonelli's Warbler) and County Waterford, a Barolo Shearwater at Bridges of Ross in County Clare, Greenish Warblers at Eyemouth in the Borders and multiple sites in Aberdeenshire, a Pallid Harrier at Rainham Marshes in London, a Franklin's Gull at Milford-on-Sea in Hampshire, an Alpine Swift at Berry Head in Devon, and a further Pallid Harrier on Unst in Shetland.

Rarities included a Pallid Harrier in Shetland, a Hudsonian Godwit at Cattawade on the Suffolk/Essex border, a Long-tailed Shrike on the Gloucestershire/Oxfordshire border, Baird's Sandpipers in Pembrokeshire and County Kerry, a Pacific Diver in Highland, a White-rumped Sandpiper in County Wexford, a Bonaparte's Gull in Kent, a White-throated Sparrow in Fife, Citrine Wagtails on Scilly and Shetland, and a Black-winged Kite in Norfolk.
