| Sensational news today of a Yellow-throated Warbler in Merseyside, off a boat at Liverpool Docks; the first British record and only the second ever in the Western Palearctic. Continuing rarities confirmed as still present today comprised the Long-tailed Shrike along the Gloucestershire/ Oxfordshire border, the Black-winged Kite in Norfolk, Hudsonian Godwit, Black Stork and eight Zitting Cisticolas all in Suffolk, White-throated Sparrow in Fife, Caspian Tern and White-rumped Sandpiper in East Yorkshire, and Bonaparte's Gull in Kent. |
