| The two finds of the day were a Sooty Tern at Coquet Island in Northumberland, with a Bridled Tern also present on the Farne Islands.
New rarities were a Red-footed Falcon at Aberlady Bay in Lothian, a White-rumped Sandpiper at St Agnes in Scilly, and a Caspian Tern at Minsmere RSPB in Suffolk. Rarities included a Marsh Sandpiper in Norfolk, a Black-winged Kite in Norfolk, a Hudsonian Godwit at Cattawade on the Suffolk/Essex border, White-winged Scoters in Lothian, a Semipalmated Sandpiper in Orkney, a Blue-cheeked Bee-eater in Orkney, Bonaparte's Gulls in Kent and Gloucestershire, Black Storks in Suffolk, a White-rumped Sandpiper in County Waterford, an American Black Tern in Northumberland, and a Long-tailed Shrike on the Gloucestershire/Oxfordshire border. |
