  Discoveries today included a male Black-headed Bunting in Shetland on Foula, a Squacco Heron in Somerset at Chew Valley Lake, a Savi's Warbler in Lincolnshire at Alkborough Flats, and in Nottinghamshire a Red-footed Falcon reported at Holme Pierrepont.

Continuing rarities confirmed as still present were the Western Reef Heron in Gwynedd, Black-winged Kite in Norfolk, Trumpeter Finch still in County Wexford, White-winged Scoter in Fife, American Black Tern still in Northumberland, Great Reed Warbler in Somerset, Ferruginous Duck in Warwickshire, and Red-footed Falcons still in County Louth, Norfolk and Suffolk (2).

Significant late news that the Western Reef Heron had been present in Pembrokeshire on 13th May at Sandy Haven.
