  New rarities today consisted of a Subalpine Warbler on Skokholm in Pembrokeshire, an Iberian Chiffchaff at Assington in Suffolk, Red-rumped Swallows at Bardsey Island in Gwynedd and Barra in the Western Isles, Red-footed Falcons at Ladock Wood and Stanpit Marsh in Cornwall and Dorset, a Booted Eagle at Land's End in Cornwall, a Bonaparte's Gull at Tongue End in Lincolnshire, and a Savi's Warbler at Storton's GPs in Northamptonshire.

Rarities included a Northern Parula in Shetland, a Great Reed Warbler in Somerset, a White-winged Scoter and Black Scoter in Fife, an Iberian Chiffchaff in County Durham, an American Black Tern in Northumberland, and a Black-winged Kite in Norfolk.
