  New rarities today consisted of a Red-rumped Swallow at Nunnery Lakes, Thetford, Norfolk, two Blue-winged Teals at Ballycar, County Clare, an additional White-winged Scoter at Methil, Fife, Black Kites at St.David's, Pembrokeshire and at West Hill, Devon, and Black Stork at Badlesmere, Kent.

Rarities included a Lesser Yellowlegs in Cornwall, Hume's Warbler in Suffolk and Warwickshire, White-winged Scoter in Fife, Black Scoter in Fife, Stejneger's Scoters in Fife, Dusky Warbler in Cornwall, Long-billed Dowitcher in Angus, Iberian Chiffchaffs in County Durham and Suffolk, King Eider in Highland and Shetland, Forster's Tern in Dorset, Bonaparte's Gull in County Wexford, Harlequin Duck in County Donegal, and a Pallid Harrier in Highland.
