  In Ireland today rarities comprised the American Bittern still in County Cork, Harlequin Duck still in County Donegal, Double-crested Cormorant in County Sligo, Black Scoter in County Kerry, and in County Wexford American Coot, Northern Harrier, and Long-billed Dowitcher

In Britain Killdeer, Bonaparte's Gull, and Dusky Warbler were all still in Cornwall, both Stejneger's Scoter and White-winged Scoter were in Fife, a Hooded Merganser new in Warwickshire at Alvecote Pools, King Eider still in Highland, Lesser Yellowlegs still in Denbighshire, and Lesser Scaups in both Buckinghamshire and Somerset.
