  In Ireland today rarities comprised the Redhead still in County Kerry, Harlequin Duck and Pacific Diver still together in County Donegal, Richardson's Cackling Goose in County Sligo, Lesser Yellowlegs in County Antrim, and Lesser Scaup in County Wexford.

In Britain Stejneger's Scoter and White-winged Scoter were both still in Fife, Zitting Cisticola and Hume's Warbler still in Suffolk, Bufflehead in Anglesey, Black Scoter in Northumberland, Pacific Diver and Bonaparte's Gull in Cornwall, Eastern Black Redstart in Norfolk, Pallid Harrier in Glamorgan, King Eider in Shetland, Red-flanked Bluetail in Kent, Lesser Yellowlegs in Denbighshire, two Ferruginous Ducks in Cambridgeshire, and single Lesser Scaups in each of Cheshire, Cornwall, and Surrey.
