Sunday 11th January 2026
The highlight of the day was news of a Red-flanked Bluetail in Kent at Crockham Hill Common. Elsewhere in Britain rarities comprised Black-winged Kite and Eastern Black Redstart both still in Norfolk, two Penduline Tits still together in Gloucestershire, Kentish Plover in Somerset, Ferruginous Duck in Cambridgeshire, Lesser Yellowlegs in both Cornwall and Denbighshire, and Lesser Scaups in Berkshire, Cornwall (2), and Essex.

In Ireland the Harlequin Duck remained in County Donegal, as did the Double-crested Cormorant County Leitrim, Spotted Sandpiper in County Waterford, and Lesser Scaup in County Wexford.
