  The bird of the day was a Siberian Thrush in Kent at Seasalter.

New rarities were Baikal Teal in Glamorgan and Pied-billed Grebe in County Wexford.

Rarities included Buffleheads in Gwynedd and County Kerry, three Penduline Tits in Gloucestershire, two Richardson's Cackling Geese in County Sligo, Richardson's Cackling Goose in Argyll, Pallid Harriers in Glamorgan, Black-winged Kite in Norfolk, King Eider in Highland, Semipalmated Sandpiper in County Clare, Spotted Sandpiper in County Waterford, Lesser Yellowlegs in County Antrim and Denbighshire, Long-billed Dowitcher in Angus, Bonaparte's Gull in County Antrim, Eastern Black Redstarts in Norfolk, Dusky Warbler in County Waterford, two Zitting Cisticolas in Suffolk, Hume's Warbler in Norfolk, Kentish Plover in Somerset, Ferruginous Ducks in Norfolk and Hertfordshire, and Lesser Scaups in Cornwall (2), Essex, Shropshire and Surrey.
