| The highlight of the day was the discovery of a Black-winged Kite in Norfolk at St Benet's Abbey.
Elsewhere in Britain rarities comprised two White-winged Scoters still in Lothian, Ross's Goose still in Argyll, Eastern Black Redstarts in both Norfolk and North Yorkshire, two Penduline Tits together in Gloucestershire, King Eiders in Highland and Shetland, Pallid Harrier in Glamorgan, Long-billed Dowitcher in Angus, Ferruginous Ducks in Hertfordshire and Lincolnshire, and in Cornwall Pacific Diver, Lesser Yellowlegs and Lesser Scaup. In Ireland continuing rarities logged today were the Harlequin Duck in County Donegal, Bufflehead in in County Kerry, Northern Harrier in County Wexford, Dusky Warbler in County Waterford, and Lesser Yellowlegs in County Antrim. |
