  The highlight of the day was the discovery of a Scops Owl in Glamorgan at Killay, Swansea, a remarkable record!

Elsewhere, new rarities comprised Bonaparte's Gull in County Antrim at Larne off Sandy Bay, two White-winged Scoters together in Lothian at Gosford Bay, and Hume's Warbler in Northumberland at Longbenton, Benton.

Lingering rarities included the Lesser Crested Tern still in Devon, Eastern Black Redstart in North Yorkshire, Pallid Harrier in Glamorgan, Harlequin Duck in County Donegal, two Richardson's Cackling Geese in County Donegal, White-rumped Sandpiper in County Wexford, Double-crested Cormorant in County Leitrim, Hume's Warbler in Norfolk, Dusky Warbler in County Waterford, Desert Wheatear in Devon, Ferruginous Duck in Lincolnshire, and three Lesser Scaups in Essex, Surrey and Leicestershire.
