| The highlight of the day was the discovery of an adult male Daurian Shrike in County Wexford at Ring Marsh with a White-rumped Sandpiper new at nearby Cahore. Elsewhere in Ireland the Harlequin Duck remained in County Donegal, Bonaparte's Gull in County Antrim, and Lesser Yellowlegs in both County Antrim and County Louth.
In Britain a Long-billed Dowitcher was new in Kent at Worth Marsh, as was a Dusky Warbler on Tresco, Isles of Scilly, whilst the Brown Shrike remained in Suffolk, Isabelline Shrike species in West Sussex, Steppe Grey Shrikes in both Cornwall and Shetland, Pallid Harrier between Carmarthenshire and Glamorgan, Long-billed Dowitcher and three White-rumped Sandpipers still together in Angus, Lesser Yellowlegs in Cornwall, and Lesser Scaup in Northamptonshire. |
